Liz Millman, DVM

Dr. Liz Millman graduated from Colorado State University as part of the Inaugural Class of Veterinary Medicine 2+2 program with the University of Alaska Fairbanks class of 2019. She loves working with small and large animals but has a special interest in sled dog/ working dog medicine.

Dr. Millman has a small rescue for retired sled dogs and enjoys skijoring with her younger dogs. She loves volunteering for local sled dog races as well as Iditarod. In her free time, she is involved in the local Fairbanks Rugby Club as a coach and player and enjoys traveling around Alaska camping and fishing.

Jessica Walton

Meet Jessica, a veterinary technician with three years of experience in both emergency and neurology departments. After graduating with her degree in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she pursued a career in nursing and combined her passion for animals. In her free time, she loves to travel and explore new places. Jessica is excited to work with this season’s sled dogs and looks forward to the adventure ahead.

Dara Ness

Dara Ness is a South Dakota ranch-raised and Nebraska-educated individual. Currently, she is studying at Iowa State University and working as a Veterinary Technician at Iowa State LA hospital. During her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, reading books, and traveling. She is excited for the opportunity to work with sled dogs during this season and aid in their care. She looks forward to meeting the Alaska Icefield Expeditions team and enjoying her first summer in Alaska.
